Mentorship Program

The Kentucky Lactation Improvement Coalition (KLIC) is honored to partner with Bonnie Knows Breast to launch a new mentorship program designed to support the next generation of lactation professionals.

This program was created in response to a

common challenge within the lactation field:

Difficulty trying to find qualified clinical mentors.

The KLIC Mentorship Program aims to bridge that gap by connecting experienced mentors who are passionate about investing in the future of lactation with mentees seeking guidance and supervision to complete their IBCLC Pathway 3 clinical hours.

Through this partnership, the program fosters meaningful mentorship relationships, strengthens the lactation workforce, and helps ensure that future lactation professionals receive the clinical experience and support they need to succeed.

Think of KLIC as your local cheerleading squad for all things lactation. We are a proud Chapter of the United States Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA) and the official State Coalition for the United States Breastfeeding Committee (USBC). But more importantly, we are an inclusive, welcoming community. Whether you are a lactation professional, a student, a passionate advocate, or just a community member who wants to see families thrive, there is a place for you here.

Right now, we are working hard behind the scenes to build a comprehensive directory of breastfeeding service providers in Kentucky. Our goal? To make sure you can easily find the exact support you need, exactly when you need it, while helping our local professionals connect and collaborate.
