May I stress the need for courageous, intelligent, and dedicated leadership. Leaders of sound integrity. Leaders not in love with publicity, but in love with justice. Leaders not in love with money, but in love with humanity. Leaders who can subject their particular egos to the greatness of the cause. Martin Luther Jr.

Jamie Baker is an Instructor in Food and Nutrition at USI where she teaches courses in food service management and food safety. She is a Registered Dietitian (RD) as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Jamie has worked for years in maternal and child health nutrition at the local and state level of the department for public health in Kentucky before transitioning to academia. Her research interests lie in breastfeeding/lactation and evidence-based practice in healthcare.

My name is Liz. I am a mom to two amazing kids who keep me on my toes. I have breastfed both of my kids and loved my experience so much that I have become something of a breastfeeding advocate. I volunteered for a time as a moderator for an online Breastfeeding Support group and now I encourage parents in their breastfeeding journey.
I am also a small business owner as a bookkeeper and have a passion for all things numbers. I enjoy getting to help others organize and balance their books.
I am looking forward to being a part of KLIC and making a difference in breastfeeding here in Kentucky!
